About Catalan Barcelona
Sophie, our general manager, brings experience and passion to Catalan Barcelona. She grew up in Portsmouth and has worked with several well-known Italian, South American and Spanish restaurants.
However, it was her time travelling in Spain which made her fall in love with Tapas. She loves the unique dishes and how social the dining experience is. She goes out of her way to recreate this fun, friendly atmosphere for every customer at Catalan Barcelona.
Sophie manages the front of house team and our highly qualified chefs, who work closely to perfect traditional recipes and come up with new ideas. Together, they provide the perfect blend of delicious food and unbeatable customer service.
We are passionate about bringing authentic, freshly cooked Spanish Tapas and Paella to the heart of Southsea. We pride ourselves on creating a fun, friendly atmosphere where everyone feels welcome whether they are enjoying a quick drink, bite to eat or full meal.
We use the finest locally-sourced ingredients, including meat from Bransbury Park Butchers, fish from Johnsons and vegetables delivered fresh each morning. We go out of our way to look after guests, ensuring they receive the best possible service.
